Nax's Intro Post

Hey friends!!

My name is Naxaly and I am a first-generation student. I have a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Pre-Law. I am currently enrolled in the Paralegal program here at CSN. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games and playing tennis.

My first impression of IS101 was that this class is very intensive, especially after seeing all the labs and assignments from CompTIA. I was very overwhelmed and intimidated, but now that I am actually doing the work, I feel much more prepared. I have even gotten ahead on some assignments.

The skill that I chose in D2 Part 2 was Gmail and Google Calendar. I use Google Calendar to stay organized and on top of my daily activities. It helps me plan everything from work tasks and errands to workout classes, big events, and birthdays. I also rely on Gmail as my main personal email, where all my important emails are sent, making it easy to keep track of messages, appointments, and updates.

  2. Hey Naxaly,

Great job on earning your bachelor’s degree! What type of games do you like to play? I enjoy playing strategy games when I can. I agree with you about IS101; this class can be very intense. I need to be more organized like you when it comes to my Gmail account. My inbox is full of junk and spam. Maybe I should use what I learned in IS101. :-) It was great meeting you, Naxaly!

  5. It is very impressive that you are a first-generation college student. My mother is also a first-generation college student and she is pursuing education even to this day. So this resonates well with me.

  6. Hello, what type of video games do you play? I used to play this tennis game on the PS2 a lot. So much so that my mom was going to try to get me into playing the sport as a kid. I have not pursued that yet, however. Being a first-generation college student is gratifying. I am a first-generation college student as well. My parents have stated numerous times how proud they are of me for pursuing higher education.

  8. Hi Naxaly,

I really love how well organized as well as how you manage your tasks and time at hand, I personally use a structured daily planner to help with keeping track of everything on a day to day basis. Was it hard getting that English degree? and I am proud and happy you received your degree.
